This is my first paper craft like this and it's been fun to put together. I first read the instructions through, but perhaps not thorouly enough....I took the PDFs in to the print shop to get quality printing but only printed one of each sheet. Some sheets need multiple prints, but my work is right near the print shop, so that wasn't too bad. The instructions are easy to follow, the shelves are far more sturdy than I expected and for a first timer I think this was pretty easy to assemble! Getting the foam core floor cut just right to snap together was a definite challenge, but when all is said and done I'm really happy with the finished project!

Awesome build, I think some things need to be tweeked. There are several parts not marked "glue here" which, you will eventually get if you read the instructions, and I took care of some of the weakness in the build of the dice tube by creating tabs out of scrap that fit over the sections that butt together, essentially the same shape as the the tabs in Step 11 of the tower part of the build. I thing it's something you may want to look into incorporating into an update.

Absolutely fantastic, clear insrtuctions, and wonderful final product. Takes some time to ge it together but the results are outstanding. Happy to give my money for such a cool and unique project.

Now i'm hooked and am looking through other Fat Dragon products for my next paper project.

Awesome product! You get a full screen with two dice towers, one facing the players, one facing in to the GM. I can't recommend this highly enough!

I love the amazing design and it's usefulness. One of the best investments I ever made. I use it every weekend and my room mate wants me to make him one for his campaign.

Definitely not an easy build, more a medium difficulty one, but well-worth it once you complete it. The fact that it is modular so you can print up more wings to add on for larger DM's space is very handy.

First of all I LOVE that GM screen!!! it is really well made and really easy to build since it was my first paper craft just follow the instructions and it is done!! the only thing that i regret it is that both ends left and right you can't have a place to put the figures in it. But it can be useful to put your notes on them though if you don't use a computer. Keep the good work!

I will surely buy the rest of the collection soon to upgrade our nights gaming!!!

Finally. The game master's screen with charts I can really use, because I put them there. Also you get the same kind of fun that you have building model ship. The dice roller in the tower is a clever addition as well.

Well done Red Dragon games.

This product is definitely a beast. But, it's a FUN beast that isn't as difficult as it appears. I tried out the old TSR paper fold-up kits back in the day, and was disappointed. They don't compare to this product at all. The instructions included are very good, and I didn't see any errors that the original reviewer mentioned. However, given Fat Dragon's response to their customers, it would not surprise me if the error had been corrected in the week or so between when that review was done & I bought the kit. The only change I would recommend comes from another customer - to make the side walls' supports vertical instead of horizontal. This does seem to give a stronger result. I did end up with a little bit of warping along the towers, probably due to my inexperience. Still, I ended up with a very nice kit, despite being a novice in the hobby. This would be just the screen to DM long campaigns or games at conventions.

This product, if the detailed instructions are followed carefully, will give you a good quality gaming screen. The shelves in the back side for the GM to store minis and the like have me the most excited, although the general look can add a lot of a gaming experience.

The towers double as dice rollers, which is not something that particularly excites me and does take the most work to accomplish, but it is one of the fun features of the product.

There are some downsides to consider, some of the instructions and markings are incorrect. It doesn't take much to figure out how to assemble things correctly, but it can still be a bit frustrating. More frustrating is that when it was all said and done not all of the seams were flush and there was some bending/warping of the castle walls.

Beyond that, if you're willing to print what must have been around 100 sheets or cardstock in color and put in the hours of work to get it together it is a fun project. It probably would have been good for me to do something simpler as my first project of this sort, but it was fun all along the way.

Thanks for the review! Just to clarify, the number of sheets needed to print the screen itself (i.e. not including the instructions) is about half that.

I got this and had a lot of fun with it. I wasn't sure I could pull it off, since I have no ranks in Art Projects, but the instructions are very idiot-proof and contain pictures stepping you through the process. I still managed to mess up a couple times, but just re-printed the relevant pages and rebuilt those pieces. I spent more money than I should for supporting materials because I wanted to enjoy the creation process ($60 for a cutting mat, craft knife, card stock, metal t-square ruler, paper glue, foam board, etc), but I had fun building it and now have the supplies I need to build more screens (as gifts) or get some other similar projects. This is a very nicely done product, and if you have the supplies or the money to get the supplies, it's a great way to spend a rainy weekend. And you'll end up with the wicked-est DM screens in the neighborhood.
