I find the PDQ system to be the best rules light system for narrititve adventure gaming, and this is a top contender for the best Superhero game I have eaver read. Also its discussions on the eras of comics up to and including the animated universes introduced int the mid/late 90's is invaluable.

Without a doubt one of my favourite supers games. If you want a game that helps the gm run the game and explain the reason why spider-man breaks up with his girlfriend.

I had a great time running several campaigns of truth and justice, a recommendation of all fans of supers.

At first I wasn't sure about this game and only bought it because of the recommendation of a friend. I'm glad I did. The game is simple, easy to learn and great for one-shot superhero games as well as full blown campaigns. For GMs this game is a good way to introduce new, or younger players to rpgs. It is also a lot of fun for more experienced players. Now that I'm older my group doesn't have a lot of time for gaming so a quick system like this that is still able to offer everything we enjoy about RPGs is perfect for us. I can't recommend this game enough.

Truth & Justice is easily my favorite supers rpg, hands down. With its working the PDQ system further to support a style that is heavy on role-playing and trifling on the over-complication that would force too much detail out of character generation before you even got to enjoy the game. The characters presented here are fun and inspire a world where players can explore and encounter things and people familiar and new, all dependant on your GM's & players' imagination.

While some would nitpick over the lack of some structure, its refreshing to me to find a game system that allows the GM & players "fill in the details" as you go along to make this undeniably YOUR setting. A supers game should be loose and fancy-free, and I love this game and what it presents that, suggests that and implies what can be done with gaming and running it.

The PDQ system makes for a quick and easy dive into a four-color super hero game. There are helpful settings to use in the game, but the real fun would be making up your own. This is an indie game and the art sometimes suffers throughout the game; however, the writing is very sound and what I find most interesting.

Pick up this game. It's one of the few good super hero games on the market.

The T & J rules are innovative and rewarding if you like a free form style of RPG rules. The system translates the 4 color Comic Book genre very well. <br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br>

For those gamers who love comic books, but hate the number-chunching of other games (like Champions or GURPS), -this- is the game for you!

Very nice system. I love the do-it-yourself mechanic of the powers. Has a more expressive story feel to it without getting bogged down in applying points like with other superhero games. Highly recommended! <br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: Fast but accurate character creation. <br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: There are 3 settings towards the end of the book. I only create my own settings for superhero stuff, so this doesn't work for me. On the other hand for those looking for alternative settings then just translating from popular comics but don't want to create their own, these examples are very good. <br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

As a long time superhero rpg fan, I have owned almost every superhero rpg on the market. In my opinion, this is one of the all-time best, as well as my current system of choice. This game is very easy to play, and versatile. Definitely check it out!<br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: Ease of play, genius character creation system, and quality of the game design were all strong points.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: The only drawback to this game was that it could have used a bit more art.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

T&J uses an adapted PDQ system which is very rules light (which I prefer). If you're looking for a crunchy supers game, T&J is definitely not for you. In a time of poorly edited gaming books, this book was a pleasure to read. I do like the author's writing style.

Highly recommend with just a minor quible: As a game of comic heroes, the art could have been better.<br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: - good discussion of the genre

Truth and Justice

Super hero games seem to be coming out in a little more frequencies. Perhaps I am just noticing them more but there have been some very interesting and higher quality games in the genre in the past few years. The most popular seems to be Mutants and Masterminds by Green Ronin, but others such as Capes and With Great Power have made a nice splash in the gaming environment. Truth and Justice is a Super Hero game that presents it own simple to use system . Atomic Sock Monkey, the company that put this out, really did a nice job fitting this all together. They designed a system that allows for the flexibility a supers game needs and made the rules simple so character creation and play will be relatively fast and easy going. The PDF has one hundred and thirty three pages. The book is well organized with good art and lay out. The PDF has book marks, a great table of contents, plenty of tables and character and NPC sheets, handouts and other useful items. All it is missing is an index but those are a bit rare these days. The book starts with a good and thorough explanation of what it is and more importantly what the genre is. I think more books need this sort of thing as not everyone is going to be familiar with the topics at hand. A few short pages to bring the readers up to a basic level of understanding for the game like they do in Truth &amp; Justice would really go a long way for many games. The first chapter of Truth &amp; Justice is one of those great introductions to a super?s game that I would use as required reading for my players no matter what supers game I was playing. Many of them would know and be aware of much of the basic info but I find it is better to repeat things that people know then to have things absent that some people might need to know. Truth &amp; Justice has a nice and simple way of handling things. The system is rolling two six sided dice and possible adding or subtracting from that to reach a target number. It is possible to be good enough to get more dice but that is the basics. Characters have qualities that they are good or bad at and those are written on the character sheet with a positive or negative number by them. The number is used to modify the dice roll and shows if one is good or bad at the particular skill. Powers work pretty much the same way though there is a section later specifically on that. Players can do stunts to make a task easier or harder. The game encourages descriptions on what a character is doing more so then just a bland statement. The game?s two strengths are the complete understanding of the genre and the simple rules that make good use of the genre. Truth &amp; Justice will make a nice simpler super heroes game for those people not wanting the complexity of a Mutants &amp; Masterminds or a Champions game.

There have been a lot of good supers games the last few years, but Truth & Justice is by far the best for me. Dosent try and detail every type of power like many supers games do. This makes for quick chargen. To quote someone " Because trying to model combat realistically in a superhero game is missing the point."<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

I am a long time Hero System fan. Saying that I love to try new superhero genre RPGs from various companies. It is always nice to see what other folks are doing.

I was very surprised by Truth & Justice. I played a complete session with my players and found the system to be rules light, fluid, and quick. The rules really captured the feel of comics.

I posted a much longer review on the Atomic Sock Monkey message board. See that post for tons of details.<br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: + Quick
