Twenty Hallucinations 2
From time to time you will find a player character having a hallucination or two. Sometimes its from bad liquor or a drug slipped into their food, other times its the result of a magical spell, the spores of a toxic cave fungus, or the side affect of a foul monster's venom. Regardless of the cause, the player is likely to want to know exactly what the hallucination is like.
This product contains twenty brief but adequately detailed hallucinations for the GM to quickly roll up and use. Some hallucinations may cause audible and/or visual delusions, others may affect taste, smell, and touch. Many of the delirious delusions in this product affect multiple senses at once.
Twenty Hallucinations is carefully designed to work with any role playing game setting, from fantasy to sci-fi to modern to historical.

Here are a couple of entries from this product (20, of course, in all)...

10- The air around you begins to whip up into a violent wind that knocks you off your feet, causing you to fall. As you pick yourself up you find a grayish blue tinted tornado rushing towards you, which you try to desperately flee from. It is of no use, you stumble and fall and the tornado lifts you up. You find yourself trapped inside the whirlwind, alone except for the dozen or so strange silvery globes that spin around you. You try to reach out and grasp these globes in curiosity, but fail to maintain a grip each time your hands reach out for one.

13- You hear the barking of a dog behind you. The dog sounds like its in a panic and trying to tell you something. You turn around to face the dog but its not there. Now you hear it to the side of you. You turn again but nothing. As you turn back to face forward you see a strange looking woman. Though stunningly beautiful she has two heads and an extra eye resting in each of her foreheads. Her presence startles you and you find yourself stumbling back as you scream out in terror. The woman calms you in a soothing voice that comes out of the mouth of her left head. Her right head begins to speak as a flaming orb of lapis lazuli appears in her heads. She instructs you to raise up your own palms and accept the flaming blue orb as a gift, as it possesses great power. You reach forward and accept the gift. It burns as you hold it but in a way that is strangely pleasant and not painful. You find yourself fascinated with the presence of the orb and you cannot take your eyes off it. You feel time drift away as you stand motionless, staring down at this beautiful orb.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
