These hand drawn mines and rail pack come complete with railway, storage, foundry and mining sites perfect for your virtual tabletop (VTT). Hi Boaz, so the maps are more of a collection of pieces rather than tiles that fit together. Leaving one area on the map leads to the next map, but they don't connect directly next to each other. In the attached link, these are modular and connect with one another. https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/235071/Instant-Mine-Creator

Hi there, is there a preview available- also are the images in a format to use with a VTT?

The cover looks real nice, I just don't buy unless I can see what I'm getting.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers goonalan

Hi Dan, that's great- and the maps are looking good, can you also answer the question I asked- are the maps usable on a VTT. What I'm asking is do they come as PDFs, JPGs or other- and if they do come in picture format what's the DPP.

A great example of the info needed is from Heroic Maps, for example (from their last upload)-

A printable rpg battlemap compatible with any RPG/Dungeon-Crawl or skirmish game. Use as a standalone gameboard, or combine with any same-scale tileset. The map is 50x50, equivalent to 25 of our standard 10x10 tiles.

Contents: A large winter pine forest. The woods are covered in thick snow, and the evergreen trees are covered in frost. The forest is overlooked by the ruins of an ancient stronghold or castle perched upon a hill. There is also a frozen river that winds across the landscape. Scattered around the area are barrows, caves and standing stones.

Great question, Paul. Yes, they should be ready to roll for VTT as .jpg files. I set them up for 72dpi and they work perfectly on Roll20 which I've play tested them on already. The sizes on the downloaded files correspond to the inches at 72dpi. So if a map says 27x27 inches it is 72dpi for screen resolution. I'll add that into my description.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
